Default Nos

I was wondering if NOS was illegal in NY because i heard it was. Also this is one crazy idea and some people might think im crazy or whatever but just wondering if it is possible to put a comptech supercharger and a NOS Fogger Kit? Or can the engine not handle it? Just wondering and how much would it cost?

I do not know the laws for NY, but the S2k can handle NOS. I had a 75 shot on mine for a little while to see how well it worked. It made the jumps off the line quite a bit quicker. I would suggest the NOS staged setup (or maybe a venom kit although Ive not used them) to keep you from over spraying; especially if you have never sprayed an engine before.
IMO, the S2K has to high of a compression for a supercharger, at least to be effective. After many long discussions with Jackson racing engineers we decided that you would have to turn the charger down a lot, which would mean you would only gain a few hp and slightly more torgue. This of course is under the if you are not making any serious mods to your engine such as shaving the heads and so forth to lower the compression. I have heard of a supercharger being out for the S2K, but I don't know how well it works, or any details. My plans carry me in other directions now.

Perhaps "effective" is a relative term, but I think 270-290hp at the wheels is pretty effective coming from comptech's SC.

This would explain why you're incorrect

Search the site for "supercharger", you'll find lots of info. The SC cars runs great, 6 lbs of boost, running low 13s.

IMO, 13's are not worth the $ for a supercharger. While I like superchargers for the output, I do not think for the S2K they offer enough gain with a stock engine. I have seen stock S2k's running 14's and high 13's, so pushing me to a low 13 isn't satisfactory. Now, if you had told me it pushed you down into the 10's or lower (maybe even low 11's) without engine mods I would think about it. Its just a matter of taste I suppose, I just want more power for my $. I think the engine compression is to high for a supercharger to be useful, but as I said, thats just my opinon and taste.

Low 11's or high 10's for less than $5K on a high 13, low 14 second car like this, fat chance. I suppose you could do direct port nitrous with a 100 shot on a progressive controller for about $3K and maybe crack 11's if the engine holds it, not likely on the F20C though. There is a certain point in modifying cars that losing those seconds or tenths of a second becomes more and more expensive. The S2000 in stock form isn't too far from that point. Mine is currently being turbocharged which is costing a fair bit more than the Comptech SC and I'm hoping for low 12's. If you want those kind of performance gains for not much money then you definitely have the wrong car.

5 grand to make an S2000 as fast as a $50K Z06 Vette (13.2 according to R&T) is very satistfactory to me, and many others from what I can gather. 10's and 11's can't be had just with a SC, or Nitrous, in any car.

could you put both the supercharger and NOS on the same s2k or would it be too much on the engine?
