- Alright, I DID DO A SEARCH but did not find the EXACT answer I was looking for...
- I'm just wondering what people are squeezing ON STOCK MOTORS
- I was thinking that 100 shot would be good and the s2k motor should hang, but reading a lot of posts it seems like it won't hang
- I had a civic squeezing 100 shot on a stock h22 motor and it was fine, actually ran it probably 15 times one saturday...
- All I had for fuel was an intank fuel pump and tuned with a v-tec controller
- Don't flame, just looking for answers

i think a 100 shot would be pushing it, esp reving to 9K. A good number for this car would be 50-60, maybe 75 with minor fuel and other tuning done.

I have a Zex spraying 55 shot. Safety measures include colder plugs and RPM window switch.

Just wondering...
What happens if you hit the rev limiter while you were injecting NOS?
Wouldnt this situation blow the motor because car runs super lean?

- damn, seems like it isn't even worth the trouble for DIRECT port then...

Exactly why I have a RPM window switch.

I went with DRY because i didn't want the puddling with a wet setup. You have to understand that you are spraying gas/fuel which does not travel the same as nitrous. It's heavier (i think so), so you can have puddling.

I think you should be safe with DP.

Dut,

I have a direct port setup. I is running 80 shots right now and will be running 100 after 1/11. I will change out the jets when I am the dyno on that date. The motor is definitely capable of the hp, but you have to do a lot of modifications prior to running such high hp. It is imperative you use a window switch and even a progressive controller. Even in third ot fourth gear with 80hp you will break loose. So a progressive controller is suggessted. To answer another question at the actual redline of 9200 rpm the fuel does cut off and if you are spray your car will lean out and the motor will be destroyed, hence the need for the window switch. For example my window switch activates at 4800 rpm and will shutdown at 8800 rpm. This is all to prevent any disasters. You will also need to upgrade your fuel pump. The stock fuel pump will not be capable to proper fuel delivery with a direct port setup. Walbro has a 255lph that is a direct swap for the s2000. You will also need to retard the car 3 to 5 degrees in order to prevent and disasters, I have mine at 3 degrees and will move to 4 with 100 shots. You will also need to run the proper fuel for that much nitrous. With 80 shots I use 100 octane from cam2. With 100 shots I will be using 104 oct from sunoco. Again this is to make certain the nitrous is mixing properly with the fuel. Nitrous is 50 percent oxygen whereas the air we breathe is 21 percent, so with that much oxygen being crammed into the cylinder you need the right octane rating for proper air fuel mix. The temperature will be in excess of 500 degrees at times so the nitrogen will help with controlling the temperature spike. You will also need guages to monitor the car: air fuel guage to ensure the car is not leaning out, a wide band is best but is pricey; you will also need a fuel pressure guage to verify the fuel is at a decent pressure, anywhwere from 45 psi to 55 psi. There are many other bells and whistle that you could buy to such as a bottle pressure guage to ensure you have at least 900psi for proper nitrous delivery. You will also need to run colder plugs on your car. I use denso ik24 gapped at .030. I could go on and on but why dont you just PM me if you have any other questions. Nitrous is used as a scapegoat for many many mishaps becuase of incorrect tuning. Do your own research and take your time, do not press that button to activate the tps switch until you have completed all the proper steps. As for the stock motor there are folks running 1xx shots on the car and have made oner 40 passes on the dyno with their setup. Once it hits you will need to be prepared because it is a big hit. Its also a bit hit to your wallet. A compelted setup with computer and all is about 2K. Good luck with your choice.
