Default NOT getting bored with the S2000

I have to say this by far has been my best purchase ever. When I first saw one I thought it looked great and then when I got to drive one I was hooked . Now with 4 years ownership with her (Girlfriend calls her Ms. Priss for all the attention she gets from me) and since finally making the final payment my mind began to wonder about not replacing but what would complement her and I really needed something 4wd . So after driving a whole lot of other vehicles that I thought might be cool - G37,Mini Cooper S, STI, Forester XT,GTI, 4Runner, Toyota Tacoma, Nissan Xterra and Pathfinder, Toyota RAV4, Honda CRV,Jeep Wrangler, Toyota FJ, etc.
I found that S2k ownership comes at a high price. It seems to have made me rate other vehicles differently now . Reminds me of an amp test in a stereo magazine. To quote" After testing the Pass Labs amp it changed my whole rating scale what I once would rate Excellent now would only rate as merely Good."
The S2k has been like that for me . So much of a revelation of what a car should be it changes your perception and expectation of other vehicles. The "Fun Factor" and the "Wow Factor" are now rated against the S and the majority seem to fail in comparison. Has anybody else experienced this ???? Ok in its favor the GTI passed my test . One of the only two that I could even remember after my test drive!
Anyway to finish up I bought an 05 Forester XT for the winter fun duty while the S hibernates till spring . A lot of Turbo fun with this one but still dreaming of hitting that red button come warmer weather.

The best solution for me has always been to just buy some piece of crap old car you can dog out without repurcussion. I still miss my old '91 Nissan Sentra since the tiny thing made 50Mph feel threateningly fast and it didn't matter if I was redlining it since, if worst comes, I'd be out $800.

I dig my 04 Nissan Frontier for that same reason. I can do whatever I want to it with no guilt at all.
The other day i was movin some stuff and accidently banged a small dent and scratch into the tailgate. At that moment i realized how much i appreciate the truck. If i woulda banged that dent in scratch into the S i would had a meltdown.
Not givin a sh*t is quite liberating.

Can't be said enough...the S2000 is awesome and has been/is/and will be my most favorite car...I've never kept a car this long...and the amount of personal, little mods...and never ending projects keeps me energized with enthusiasm for the brand and the car!

What a coincidence ; my last winter ride was 91 Nissan D21 hardbody truck. It lasted thru 15 winters and was amazing how reliable she was thru all those years but rust was taking her toll on her so much so that my mechanic said the frame was rusting so bad that she only had a year or so to live! Thus started my search for a new winter ride!

Had my S for 3 months now and I like it more every time I drive it. It is an awesome car. It feels like you wear not drive it.

Have to put it away in a week or so for the winter. Drive my old 95 Dodge Spirit till spring.
