Effective today, I have resigned from S2KCA (S2000 Club of America) as Regional Director of the SouthEast Region and I have asked that my membership be canceled.

I am not leaving s2ki.com. This was just notice of the change over at S2KCA.

 

just curious why? did u get a different car or were you not happy here. I think you have contributed tremendously and would like you to stay. However, I am sure you have bigger and better plans. Good luck!

Whoa! Wait a minute, I left S2KCA. . .not s2ki.com.

I LOVE this place! We have a great community and with some of the additional benefits of s2ki.com, there's simply no better place to be. I'm tired of all the politics and broken promises. Being told on a regular basis that I don't contribute.

I'm done with it! Goodbye S2KCA!

My apologies. The statements of my contributions are from S2KCA. From Greg Stevens blaming everyone on the board of S2KCA rather than ever looking at himself. I will continue to organize events such as the Outer Banks Run and DragonBall Run, but I no longer want any affiliation with S2KCA!

I know you appreciate what I do and it gives me no greater pleasure knowing that I can help in bringing some S2000 owners together for a fantastic drive and an opportunity to meet some terrific people.

For a few months now, S2KCA and s2ki.com have been going back and forth on a few issues and S2KCA has been and continues to be, IMO, in the wrong. When I was with S2KCA, I believed we needed a strong relationship with s2ki.com. However, Greg Stevens made it nearly impossible to keep us on a positive track and eventually (for the best), s2ki.com cut all ties with the S2KCA. I should have done the same at that point, but I believed I could help influence S2KCA and s2ki.com to re-join. IMO, that was what I thought would be in the best interest of the community.

However, things continue to down spiral at S2KCA and I want no part in it. I work hard for the members of this board by posting and contributing information. Sharing expereiences and all. I love this place, it's my home on the world of the internet. The events that I organize are done for the members of this site and s2ki.com has always supported my efforts. Hell, they support all of our efforts. This is the true home of any and all S2000 Enthusiasts!

IMO, you are better off spending the $20 for s2ki.com membership rather than the $35 for S2KCA. Look at the benefits and then look at the one that has delivered and continues to deliver.

Erik (cthree), Rylan (krazik) and others have made significant improvements to this site. We now have the same insurance to cover events and get togethers. IMO, I see no valid point on being a member with S2KCA. Hence my decision to leave.

BTW, my access has already been removed over at www.s2kca.com! Funny stuff!

 

I understand your decision, airgate. It seems if anyone complains about lack of whatever at S2KCA, the response from the top of S2KCA seemed to be 'then why didn't you do something about it yourself?'. It gets tiring.

I have been on that board a few times, but from the looks of it, it does not seem to have very much activity...

To me it looks like the last post by anyone was on 12/2 and they only have about a 100 or so total threads...What is the problem over there with no one posting? just curious...

 

There is no problem except that the club is irrelevant at this point. There was some purpose when it was started but now it's worthless. The only reason I can tell that it still exists is to inflate the egos of it's founders, who continue to blame everyone and everything (including S2KI) for it's lack of effectiveness.
