I am looking for S2000 owners with a lot of miles on their cars (I know someone has at least 25,000 on theirs). Also, if you had any types of problems with the car, and if you had them repaired, were you satisifed with the repairs and were they covered under warranty? I am trying to decide whether or not to buy the extended warranty.

25,000 miles. "the perfect S2000" No problems at all except a seat belt that locked up and had to be replaced. TSB followed with a recall.

23,000 miles with an occasional grind and a loud transmission. Overall though, I am very satisfied. I still have those sh!t-eating, 9000rpm grin moments where man and machine are one.

31.5K miles so far.

Seatbelt replaced (never had a problem but did the recall service anyway.)
OEM S02's replaced at 30.5K miles.
No grinds except for the occasional missed shifts. Tranny is loud on deceleration.

Taking it to the dealer next week for tuneau cover recall (too lazy to do it 6 months ago) and inspection for clutch TSB.

Purchased the car with 5700 miles, engine blew-up at about 7500. Honda replaced the entire engine (drop-shipped from Japan). Long story, search the board for details.

While they replaced the engine, I had the grind issue fixed. I don't seem to have the clutch noise issue that has been getting so much attention lately.

The car has about 11k miles now and runs perfectly. It took a while restore my confidence. I now feel that the car is in tip-top condition.
