Default Odd noise

Over the last couple of days, a strange noise had developed in my S2000.
It seems to be coming from the engine bay, I can't locate it exactly as I hear it when I'm driving, but it definitely doesn't sound like a cabin noise. I heard it with the top down so it's not the latches either.
It's most prominent at about 3k RPMs. I notice it mostly when accelerating, but it's there when just cruising as well I believe. It's not super loud, as I have to mute my radio to hear it good, but it's definitely noticeable.
Anyone have experience with something like this? (by the way, my car is a MY 02, if that matters).
Thanks in advance,
Jakup

But besides keeping the alleged hamsters happy, any other ideas of what this could be?

What do the noises sound like? Is it like a pinging noise, a rattle, ect. Does it do it when the car is warming up or after you drive for a while? I don't think anyone would know it unless you give us a bit more detail.

It does it at all times, even when the car is warmed up. Does it while accelerating or while just cruising, I can hear it best from 3000-3500RPM.
Doesn't sound like a ping, more like a fluttering I guess, that's the best I can describe it with typing.

Do you realize that in all of the words you've typed in this whole thread, the only word you've used that even remotely describes the noise is "fluttering". What the heck is "fluttering" anyway? Do you seriously think that with what you've said, that anyone short of being a fortune teller or "Supreme Wizard of the Underworld" can possibly give the slightest hint of what's up with your car?

You're jerking our chains, aren't you?

Haha, I'm sure not.
I just thought that a fluttering/rattling from right behind the dash from 3-3.5kRPM might be a common problem so someone could tell me the source.
I don't know how else to describe it, sounds like it's coming from the back of the engine bay closest to me while driving. I pushed on random dash panels to see if it was one of them but nothing affected it so I'm pretty positive it's something in the engine bay. Are there any common rattles in the engine bay?

I have a noise that appears under acceleration from 3900-4000 rpms. Its kind of a grinding vibration sound that comes from the engine bay. I have taken my car to the dealership twice to get it checked out and they cant figure out what the noise is. Its seems louder when the weather is cold. Any clues?

Well, I guess you're going to have to wait till more people with the same limited description posts that they have the "same" problem.
