Default Odd VSA trick I found myself doing today

I DD my S2000, and when I'm going to work and such I leave VSA on as a safety feature. I noticed today though that without intending to, I unintentionally used an odd workaround instead of just turning it off.

I ran around a corner quick and wanted a bit of oversteer for fun. I knew VSA was about to kick in and ruin the oversteer, and without thinking, I turned the wheel an extra ~20 degrees so VSA would let the car alone while the back end slid a tiny bit.

It worked flawlessly--the rear slid out just a bit in a controllable way, and I got that little bit of fun slip I was hoping for.

Has anyone else ever found themself doing something like this?

My $0.02:

If you want to get the tail out, use your driving skill and turn off the VSA.

If you want the daily driving nannies, keep it on.

IMHO, it's silly to try and ask the VSA to correct a correction. What are you accomplishing? You can push the VSA past the point of helping you and drift that way, but is that safe? And what's the point?

I keep my car in line on public roads and keep that stuff for the track and the autocrosses.
