I also have a problem. When I press the lock button twice it usually locks the car and gives me an alert to say the alarm has been engaged. Now, it doesn't give me the alert so I don't know if the alarm is engaged. Did I accidently push a combination of buttons to deactivate the alert? How do I reverse it?

If any door is open (or ajar) you cannot lock the doors with the transmitter. The doors do not lock or unlock with the transmitter if there is a key in the ignition
1) Press the lock or unlock 5 or 6 times to reset the transmitter.
- If the locks now work the transmitter is OK
- If they don't work go to 2
2) Open the transmitter and check for water damage. If there is water replace the transmitter. If not go to 3.
3) Replace the transmitter battery with a new one and try to lock/unlock 5-6 times.
4) If it works transmitter OK if not go to 5.
5) Reprogram the transmitter.

If you get to step 5 email me offline and I'll tell you how to re-program the transmitter.

My Odyssey had a similiar problem... I finally noticed one of the buttons stayed stuck in. The clue was that the lite did not light when a key was pressed. I had even replaced the battery for it. Also the horn chirp can be changed from on to off with a combination of key presses, look in the manual.

check your transmitter's led light to make sure your batteries work.
