Default oem front lip help

hello my MY00 ap1 oem front lip just broken, and i bought a new one from ebay, anyone know how to install it? from what i see the old one have some bracket atteach to the lip, so that you can mount it on the bumper. but the one that i got from ebay doesnt have the bracket. i think should be about 6-7 of them on the lip. anyone knows where can i get the bracket, i have already try the majestic honda parts, and cant find anything yet. thanks a lot

the authentic OEM lips like the one i have come with the holes for the bolts so that you can bolt the lip on to the underside of the bumper. if the eBay one doesn't have them, you need to get some 3M double sided adhesive that's made for automotive exteriors, and line the perimeter of the lip with it and stick it on. you might also want to drill 2 screws in where the lip wraps around inside the front wheel well.

good luck dude

i'd think it'd be safe like that. you might want to 3M the bottom as well, if you can get it flush with the underside of the bumper, so that it stays put if you kiss a curb.

I know on my AP2 OEM lip it already had double sided tape spaced along where the inside of the lip will adhere to the bumper.
I would think the Ap1 lip would work the same way.

It was fine on my civic, but I'm not going that route with my S.

Why would you not use the provided bolts that keep it together. If Honda thought only two were enough, they would have only provided two bolts.

Is this aftermarket? Used? Spend the extra few bucks, get the proper number of bolts, and make sure it is on properly. You spent the money to get a nice car, don't cut corners....

Just my $.02.
