I have just picked up a used OEM front spoiler for a very good price and just dropped it off at the paint shop. My S is berlina black and I am getting the spoiler repainted berlina black with rock guard. Has anyone ever done this to their car's front spoiler?? I drive the car through alot of country roads and am thinking that this rock guard would help debris from messing up the paint on the lower spoiler. I will post pics as soon as I reinstall the spoiler back on the car.

 

Is rock gurad like stoneguard. Is it a clear plastic film that you apply to the car??

 

I just got my spoiler back from the paint shop. It is not what I thought. The spoiler looks like it has been sprayed with a very thin coat of gloss black bedliner spray. From the looks and feel of it, it would be very hard for even me to chip this thing. Will post pics as soon as I put the spoiler back on the car.

Also, the paint and body shop said that they have these "rock guard" add-ons available in oem colors. I guess since its an add-on to the paint they can match factory colors
