Default OEM Hardtop fitment - adjustment

So my car is a 2000 and had a hardtop installed by the local Honda dealer around 2004. Like a big dummy, I sold it and regretted it ever since. Now I have purchased a replacement and it does not seem to fit the way the first top did. There is a noticeable gap on the sides at the rear of the top. Is there any adjustments that can be made at the hardtop or on the car at the mounting points.

Did you lock it down?

Yes, it is locked down.

This is the second Honda hardtop that has been on this car. Only the top has been changed. The previous top fit was great. None of the mounting brackets have been changed on the car from one top to the other.
