actually i purchased the car from him in cash when he went to go buy the new porsche cayman s. But good assumption. Dont know too many other 20 year olds who have purchased or can afford a car as nice, so while you were cruising around in your civic rice rocket at my age, im driving the car you are still probably making monthly payments on. Good luck with those. Maybe in another 5 or 6 years you can actually say you own it

p.s. arguing on the technnicality of the word "aftermarket" does not prove your point. What i had meant, and im sure you know this, is that the parts do not come standard on the car...and before you go and say something stupid like..."most cars dont come with power windows and doorlocks etc." A 3000 dollar hard top is much different- and althought it is not Comptech, it is not a common accessory and most, besides the infamous s2k forum, would consider that part aftermarket

Arguing the word aftermarket DOES prove the point. If you said something was green when it was red and we said it was red, we would be right! It doesn't matter if you meant green to mean red, IT DOESN'T.

Just for the record, I bought my 2001 outright (no loans) this November at age 20. All money I earned and I'm currently in a very good college. You aren't that special in owning an S2000 and being young, so don't act cocky because of it.

An OEM "header" is also known as an exhaust manifold and all cars come with it. You contradicted yourself when you said you were interested in gains on an OEM "header" and that you wanted to buy one. Why would you buy the exact same thing for your car that you already have? This is why so many people are clowning you on this board. I usually don't comment on these things, but i couldn't help it with this one as i'm bored at work and laughing to myself.

Good God...stop already. I think you're missing the point.

OEM = All parts sold as Genuine Honda Accesories/Parts is considered OEM. Hardtop is OEM since its a hardtop made by Honda...sold by honda for the S2000. It doesn't matter if its the norm or how expensive it is.

Aftermarket = Anything and everything that is not genuine Honda parts/accesories. Period. End of Story. Nothing more to add.

i got my S a month after my 19th birthday, and no i didnt pay for it. hate me...

go easy - xviper is a mod, so there's no point in trying to fight with him; its like a blind man picking out his favorite porno...

its ok; theres no such thing as an oem aftermarket header for an S. the only thing i can think of that is "oem aftermarket" would be the clutches Exedy sells for cars (oem-spec, built by exedy).

well...like viper or whoever said up top...this wasnt my car previously, and i wasnt much of an enthusiast. Right now im just looking to purchase parts for engine detailing with a few hp gains. If being a s2000 enthusiast means to waste my life day after day belittling less knowledgeable people on a forum, keeping tabs on every person in the forum and knowing whos car, when i got it, what every single mod does...and tryin to put my dick in the exhaust pipe b/c the car is ohhh so sexy. i think i could pass- i think when i was oh... 16 when i stopped making fun of people in chat rooms. Got a little too old for that you know? Good luck moving on with your life "cough" viper.
