OEM HEADLIGHT question

Default OEM HEADLIGHT question
What are those 2 silver strands of cord connected to the main headlight and the ballast? and how do i remove them from the ballast. I need to remove them to put on my JDM's

Thanks Stratocaster thats exactly what I was looking for.. I didnt know that the socket had to be rotated and kind of twisted to get it out of the housing.... Thanks!!!
