Default OEM Lips

I'm thinking about getting a front OEM lip (the one in the s2kmarketplace) but I want to know how well does the paint match? Also do they bolt on?
Thanx,
ALex

My Berlina Black matches just fine but I have heard of others who have matching problems. Installation is easy, it just bolts on. http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.p...&threadid=39737

I'm also thinking of getting the front spoiler lip. I can get if from the Honda dealer with 10% off plus 1 hour labor. Probably about $500 (total). The good news is the color match is excellent and Honda will stand behind it under the warranty. I know it's more money than aftermarket, but sometimes you can put a dollar sign on piece of mind.

On the Spa Yellow the OEM lip matches pretty well during the day but under parking lot lights at night it is off by a few shades.

The blue matches close enough, I'm sure you'll be able to put it on youself, took me all of 10-15 minutes.

Spa Yellow matches fairly good as posted above, but does vary a few shades along with other plastic parts on the car (mirrors) when parked in the shade/dim light.

Again, I don't think it has anything to do with the paint itself, more to do with the properties of plastic which takes the paint differently to other metallic painted surfaces. Not much you can do I'm afraid

Obviously, this won't be an issue if you have a black, white or other coloured car where paint matching isn't really an issue.

I have silverstone which looks like a harder color to match. Do you have to secify th year of the vehicle because doesn't the paint vary from year to year?
thanx,
Alex
