Default OEM top squeaking/rubbing

Long story not too short: bought an OEM top. All the seals are in great shape, guy even helped me mount it with original hardware and I drove it home in love with the cabin seal and soundproofing.

Waxed the car two days ago and since then, I'm getting an annoying as hell rubbing/squeaking noise behind the driver's side seat during lower RPMs. I guess my microfiber tower got under the hardtop where it has the gap above the body? How can I stop this?

For the seals? Know where I can get some in person?

Most dealers will have this grease available - tube is similar to toothpaste in size.

You won't find it in stores, but a Honda or Acura dealer should have it. Also be sure to use it on all the soft top and door weatherstripping.

Once you use this on your hardtop, you'll be tempted to use it everywhere... I was... And I did...

Shin-Etsu Silicon Grease is great for all of the rubber gaskets on any/all of your automobiles...

Over the weekend, I used this on all of my door and moonroof gaskets on my 12 year old Acura TL. The car is garaged most of the time, so the seals were not in terrible condition. However, after applying the Shin-Etsu grease, the seals look brand new... I also used them on the rubber window gaskets. While driving on the freeway at high speeds, I noticed that the grease eliminated a cabin noise that has bothered me for years.

Use it sparingly, and wipe the excess off with a towel... Too much grease will just result in dust and dirt adhering to the gaskets, which isn't a good thing...

I'm using this stuff regularly on all my rubber gaskets on all my cars moving forward...

Even after applying the grease sparingly, I have probably used about 40-45% of my tube...I am sure another tube purchase is in my future...

Great stuff...

You could also use Sil-Glyde. It's available at most auto parts stores. It has the same consistency and it is recommended for similar applications. I use it on my hardtop seals and it works great.
