'Regretfully we will not be getting a 2.2 litre S2000 in the UK. Honda UK
decided that the market for a 2.2 litre engine would not be big enough in
the UK, and with the current model being so popular, didn't wish to split
the market.

Sounds like they are saying Americans want 2.2L, Europeans (UK) don't surprise surprise

you have to take into account the tone of his letter before the response. If he sounded enthusiastic about it, of course the replier would say 'regretfully'. Don't burn your bridges as in Honda may yet release the 2.2L and it's not worth it to bash it or otherwise. I'm willing to bet that Honda UK is not exactly missing the 2.2L
