Where does it say the driver died? Says he had a pulse when he left the scene and no updates on his condition.

You are correct. That article didn't say that he died; however, as it so happens, the driver did pass away five days later.

this is such a great thread for all s2000 owners. ive owned my car for less than a month and seeing this reminds me not to go crazy with a car im not used to. and to the most experienced s2000 owners- it will remind you that even the best driver can make a mistake, we are only human. such an eye opening thread.

Never thought I'd be posting in this thread... It pains me to do so... ugh

Not much to learn from this accident. Wrong place at the wrong time... I am assuming a total loss. Looks like the frame was bent when I took a look at the car.

I was standing on the brake pedal at the time of the collision.. Looks like it bent.

Was the other guy stopped on the road?
Glad you are okay, looks like you were not going too fast.

Following two cars around a blind corner and they came to a stop right after the corner. There was another car in the oncoming lane that flew across our lane, up and embankment on our side and then plopped right into the road. We met at the middle of an s curve basically. Cars in front of me stopped to hit the oncoming car. Happened in the middle of nowhere around midnight. Really just at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Happy that you are not hurt but that really sucks about the S, keep your chin up and get another if possible.

Currently in a splint and using crutches but I'm already looking for another.
