Default Oh No More Snow

Well, I've had a cold all week and haven't really been paying attention to the weather. Now I'm watching the news and hear that a snowstorm is headed to the east coast. Great, I didn't rent a car for the week and have to drive from Philly to north Jersey for the week, tomorrow.

Should I wake up really, really early and try to beat the snow, or should I show up at my client's office late because I had to go rent a car for a week? I have have OEM tires and usually rent a car when I know it's going to snow. Damn.

Hell with work!!! Drive to California. It was 82 degrees here in the Bay Area. I got a frickin' sunburn on the left side of my face. The sun will do good for your cold too! Hope you get better soon.

Ha, I was considering taking another day off. I'm not sure if that would fly though. . . Monday - sick day. Thursday - leave for Vegas. This 2 day week is going to be tough!

I think I'll just rent a lovely Neon or Cav. tomorrow. Fingers crossed that Hertz has a Corolla for me (or even better, a free upgrade).

I say wait until it snows then hit the streets and go as fast as you can!

No really, just try to get up early and beat the snow. Or go to the airport and rent a car. They are usually open really early.

Well, I rented a car. I can't believe I actually bothered to come into work in the first place today. I drove almost 100 miles doing 45 mph the whole way in a POS Chevy Malibu. Ugh, that car is terrible. I think it's just about impossible to have fun or even comfort in a car like that. My back is killing me from the awful seats, my brain is fried from the miserable handling, and my ears are warped from the pathetic stereo. Uninspiring car. I wish I'd ponied up for a Maxima. Turns out a lot of people aren't even in the office today. Typical.

That's my rant for the day.

We got hit by snow last night and its still falling.

Drove from IN to OH this morning. Can't count how many cars were stranded in snow along I-70. Some trucks, alot of passanger FWD passanger cars and a few 18 wheelers.

I drove my S2000 for 3 hours along I-70 and road condition was less than ideal(?) to say the least. But with Blizzak LM22 I have, I made it out fine. In fact, I drove pass some of SUVs who were struggling to stay straight on the road.

I can not emphasize enough how important it is to get right tires for your car. Those people who were caught in the accidents were those who drove their cars like it was dry day out and had their cars equipped with wrong tires for the weather conditions.
