oil!
so i bought the car about a month ago and just gave it a oil change.
the dealer ship said that they just gave it a oil change when i bought it.
sooo i put about 600 miles and i just wanted to make sure everything was ok and was up to date.
so i gave it a oil change and put the old oil back in the oil container. had barely 3 quarts.. and very black and drity.
is this normal? or do you think the dealer ship is bsing. i cant really tell cause the oil light or anything didnt come on...

Could be u "must check the oil often" , check mine after about a tank and half ...get the oil changed ...don't think they did that ...even if they did u wanna know u have the right filter on .
the first oil change for a used car is the most important and then i start getting the 4.99 filters
cause i don know what the other persons been doing to the car and how they treat it.
The dealer is probably bsing you. It would be a good idea to change all your fluids now and check your brake pads. Check your spark plugs and the dates on your coil packs. Check your timing chain tensioner. Do a compression check. If everything is fine and you are only eating a little oil, the engine is healthy. How much oil did you fill? That should give you an answer as to how low you were. I fill about 5.5 qts.

It's an oil PRESSURE light, not an oil quantity light.
and it does the same in my friends chevy avalanche. comes on when theres around 30% oil left or 2500 miles in my van.
