Exclamation oil change at honda hmm

im trying to establish a relationship with my hodna delaer so im goign to get an oil change done there. Are the honda people good at not scratching the front lip when getting on the ramp/lift? I told them and warned i dont want that to happen. If it does get damaged im sure they would have to pay for it since they are a large dealer. i jsut worry to much!

Don't worry to much, I'd worry too much...it's more effective. But seriously. If you want my advice, it's that you'll scrape it yourself sooner or later no matter how carefull you are. It'd be nice to just blame it on a dealersip and pretend you had nothing to do with it.

I now do not trust ANYONE to change my oil but me! I took mine to Honda dealer here in FL to get oil change done. Everything is fine. I go to change it again today, and the damn bolt was torqued to over 60#/ft! It was also partially stripped . I thought these jerks knew what they were doing! I now have to get a new bolt, because I do not want to risk stripping is out, and having to machine it out!

Most dealers use a twin post lift where they drive the car between the posts and they pick it up using the 4 lifts points under the car via the swing out arms on each side of the lift. I really dont know of any dealers using a drive on lift anymore, but I suppose some still could. I work in the indusrty so I am in and out of 8 to 10 garages a day. Just scout out the service area and make sure they are using only these type of lifts. Of course you could just change it yourself or bring it to a trusted friend who is handy that way.

Moss Honda in Lafayette still has a drive-on lift. It looks easier to use than the other kind; I had no idea it was outdated.

Yea, they are kinda dated and take up alot more room. They are alot easier to use, though, so some may still have them, but they are not popular in my neck of the woods.
