Oil Change Needed?
I drove like 500mi last year with afresh oil change just before I got it. I bought the oil and filter with the intent to change it this spring. Checked the oil level which is still quite high and fairly clear and said phuck it, I'll change it at the end of the season.
It DOES seem like a waste all things considering. Oil doesn't oxidize THAT fast, lol.

Just hitting the memory banks here, but I recall reading on the Bob is the oil guy website that some oil can be changed by extreme temps. Don't recall if that was Dino oil or if the problem was cold weather.
As far as being "green" I don't think a proper oil change is a big deal at all. I define proper by recycling the oil (not dumping it on the ground or storm drain).
Worrying about being greener on holding off oil changes is like being concerned about rising sea levels by taking a leak when you are body surfing.

I've not seen creditable evidence of pure synthetic oil being affected by exposure to cold temperatures or causing oxidation problems in the engine if left for several months. I've seen a couple of YouTube videos to the contrary. YouTube being the accepted scientific source for all information.
