oil change questions?
There may not be any need to jack up the front end, depending on the pan you use to catch the oil.
I just park the car with the steering wheel turned all the way to the left (like making a left turn). My drain pan will slide under the car behind the right front tire. I can reach the drain bolt with a 20" extension from behind the tire as well. The filter can be removed and replaced from above.
If you're careful, you can put the drain bolt in the socket on the 20" extension and screw it all the way in using the extension only. Then tighten or torque the drain bolt, fill with oil, run the engine to check for leaks, and you're done.

I change my own oil, but my ramps are too high. The bumper will hit b/f the tires get on it. I just drive up on two 2x6's and slide under the best I can. By two I mean, there are two on each side. Get one about 1.5 feet and another stacked on the end about8 inches or so.
I drive mine up on ramps (rhinoramps - around $30-45 a pair) and the car drives up withot incident. I must note that my car is stock w/o lowing nor front lip. Anyways, once on, the oil change is a cinch. You can alwyas jack it up and put the frt end on jack stands if you really need to get under the car.

I do the factory jack thing, also. Really is easy to do. Filter can be reached from above.
My floor jack can't get under, although I had a garage put a floor jack under the car by just lifting up the car at the wheel well by hand and sliding the jack under.
