oil filter
In the future I would recommend the Honda OEM, but that is just my opinion.
I would hate to have an engine problem and go into the dealer only to have all the mechanics pointing to the Fram filter!

There is an oil filter study out http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/oil_filter_study/
Personally I would stay away from anything FRAM and they also include Penzoil and Quaker State filters.
You can always go to a non Honda filter like WIX, Purolator etc...they are as good as OEM..
hope this helps

Don't get panicked about using a Fram filter. It may not test as well as others but in practice is ok and many owners use them without problems. Although I don't use Fram on this car, I have on others that have gone well over 100K miles without problems.
I really don't understand how any dealer can point to a non-Honda filter and say "no warranty for you". I mean really, all filters provide the basic protection required. If I remember the laws correctly, the dealer must prove that the part was the point of failure. Of course, a dealer could refuse a claim, forcing you to take the legal route...
Just make sure your willing to hire a lawyer if things don't go your way
.
BTW, I use the K&N oil filter, I like their box, nice and colorful

We'll it is my fault-I was not thinking. I usually am really conscious of using Honda OEM parts, especially oil filters. I was buying my Mobil 1 oil and realized that I did not have any filters left. The Honda dealer is a long way away from where I was at the time and just decided this one time would not hurt using the Fram.
Do any of you think that this time will hurt? I just changed it two days ago and I sure would hate to drain out $25 worth of Mobil oil.
Thanks,

If it's going to cost you sleep worrying about the Fram, why not just change the filter and the 1/2 quart or so of oil that will come out with it? Myself, I wouldn't worry about it.
I ordered some items from handa-accessories.com, including a supply of Honda oil filters @ $4.25 each and a bunch of drain plug seals (aluminum or copper washers, actually) that I think were $0.18 each. Makes sense to me to stock up, they'll keep.
