Default Oil seeping from oil filter

Well... I've probably put 1500-2000 miles while it's been doing this. I got it back from the dealer replacing my clutch, and they notified me that there was oil seeping from the oil filter. I went home, tightened it to the best of my ability, and thought I corrected the problem. I look the day after autocross and there was oil resting on the underside of the filter. I changed the oil myself and I'm not sure if I double o-ringed it or just put it on a bit crooked. It's even all around so it might be a double o-ring.

I'm aware of the fire hazard this is, and It's no joke to me. I checked the oil again today and I was down to 1 X, which I've NEVER let it go down to. Maybe 1-2 x's down from the top and I fill it up. Heart-wrenching discovery there, because I was VTECing yesterday. Hope I didn't harm anything.

Question is, do I need to change the oil right away, 2k miles on 10w30 Mobil 1 right now... and I'm wanting to send my oil off for analysis at 3k miles. Do I NEED to change it?

Anyone have an up-close picture of their oil filter so I can compare the space between the filter and the block? Thanks!

Also, where can I get a filter wrench... because I'm having trouble even getting this one the least bit loose (just to screw it back in again of course, don't wanna make a mess!)

Don't change your oil, just go in there, pull the filter out and replace it. Sheesh!

let the car sit so that most of the oil is in the pan (overnight is best) and the just replace the filter. get a wrench at an autoparts store...

Just chagne the filter and then top up again.....make sure the mating surface on the engine side is nice and clean when you put on the new filter...hand tighten only!

Is it not true that if you take the filter off before draining the oil, more oil than just what's in the filter will come out? That's why I didn't take it off.

A little will come out. Just fill the new filter with oil first, put it on, run the car for a minute, check the oil level and top it off as needed.
