Does this turbocharger use engine oil for lube? That might be the reason for 0W-20. I doubt this grade oil will hurt an engine specified for 10W-30. I recall Blackstone Labs had a white paper a year or so ago noting no abnormal engine wear using 0W-20 oil in 10W-30 engines and one of the owners uses it routinely. But without a good answer to "Why?" I'll stick with my 5W-30 full synthetic.

Whilst I feel it's too much on the thin side of the spectrum for comfort yes it should not cause problems to the engine but with oil there are case by case bases to consider as there are so many variables to take into account. I second the 5W-30 but I'm currently running Motul 5W-40 and like it. It's either of those two viscosities for me. The dealer used Honda branded Castrol 5W-30 whenever my car went there for oil changes in the past. The other thing is I cannot get straight up full synthetic 10W-30 oil locally. I've always wondered how the engine would feel with that oil weight in comparison to the above two...I DIY my oil changes and as much else as possible on my car. Scared of dealers messing up in some way!

Why would you want a 10w-anything if you already have 5w-samething version of an oil?

For the first number, the W, you want the lowest number you can get. Even in warm climates oil, any motor oil, is thicker than ideal at startup. So the lower that first number the better, virtually always.

I run 5W-30 only because my favorite oil in not available in 0W-30. There are differences in how full synthetics behave that depends on their base oil. Data I've seen notes full synthetic is superior in this application and I run it in all my cars. All 3 use 5W-30 which greatly aids the rare top off requirements of any of them.

If you ever read Dr Haas' oil 101 basics at bobistheoilguy.com you will see how he uses 0w20 oil in his Ferrari despite it using a 40 weight from the factory. I wouldn't do it but some people do and chances are it won't likely harm anything. Oil has come a long way.
