I know what it is. But what I don't know is when dose it happen? I've had the car for two weeks and I'm still getting used to it. No aggressive driving yet. So how do I get to VTEC nirvana?

6000 rpm.

If you have a 2200 ('04 - '05), it's not as noticeable, because (a) the better mid range torque just kind of flows into it, and (b) it doesn't last as long.

Hmmm....
IMO... Twisty hilly road + 6-9,000 rpm+ top down = Vtec Nirvana. I could be wrong but for me that is it......

Your Vtec won't turn on until 6,000 rpm. You will know when you get there... like a kick in the pants.

A sensor triggers the VTEC valve when the engine 6k rpm. When the VTEC valve opens, oil pressure cause's the secondary rocker shafts to lock, thus utilizing the higher cam profiles.

Put the hammer down brotha

Seriously, be carefull with your car. Use the search function and use the word CRASH This car can be a handfull in adverse conditions such as rain, or simply pushing too hard period.

Give your tires a thorough inspection.

Yeah, don't forget to keep the pedal to the metal. If your just cruising past 6k rpm you won't fee it. You have to be all out on gas.
