Default Ok... Theft Question...

Seems like the ricers like to break into our cars to steal the seats. It also seems like they are incredible expensive to replace.

Is there any kind of strange bolt we could use to secure on corner of each seat so they can't be removed? The same premise as a wheel lock. It seems like this would be a cheap and easy solution providing such a bolt could be found?

Anyone have any ideas?

You might be able to replace the bolts with hex head bolts.

Keep full coverage on your car and don't worry. If someone wants to vandalize or steal your car nothing short of an armed guard will stop them if they're motivated enough.

I used to keep a hungry Rottweiler chained to my tow hook but that stopped when I looked out the window one night and saw him dragging my S2000 down the street chasing a civic with cut-off springs and a fart can exhaust. "Satan- sic balls!"

I just place a removable sign in the window: "Pitbull with aids onboard"

you can swap out the bolts (12mm and 14mm) that hold down the seats with an allen or torx bolt.

I was lucky enough to purchase my very own stolen seats back from the shop that aquired them - at my own expense.

I'd like to read the full story on this. If you could prove they were your seats, why did you have to pay for them? Selling stolen property is a crime, even if the seller paid for it, I believe?

Luckily my dog goes crazy when someone is near my car. My H&K 40 is always within reach to take aim...
