i'm guessing that the seller screwed-up on the listing. "buy-it-now" was used after all of two hours.

a buck will get you ten that the sale doesn't get completed.

Oh it will. It was the seller's error and they have to account for that. ANY eBay auction that officially ends with a winner is a binding contract. The seller can't back out or they risk being sued by the buyer.

Even if it were a typo, it would be $21K instead of $12K. $21K is damn CHEAP for that car!
