To be saddled with a substandard performance tire because SUV's tend to roll over under certain conditions would suck big time. I'm certain this would not thrill the tire manufacturers either.

Push the (+) button on your instrument panel and hold it down to return the dash to the regular daytime brightness level with the headlights on. This along with many other details about your car can be found in the handy owner's manual. You should give it a read some time.

The car does remember your dimmer settings for day and night modes separately. However, long pressing the + to revert to daylight mode with the lights on is a command, not a setting. If it remembered this "setting" and stayed in daylight mode the next time you turned your lights on, you'd be equally annoyed when you drove your car at night and the dash lights came on full power. You'd just find yourself holding the - button to turn it off.

I think the change is due to the new display that is used on the RSX... it works very well and does not appear to have a glare problem. I think honda is just using it.
