Is it possible to add one touch down for the passenger window? Is it just a matter of replacing the switch? Has anyone attempted this?

I would like to add one touch up as well but I realize this may be more complicated.

Here is a shortcut...try tapping into the relay that lowers both windows when you are pushing the switch to recline the soft top (you will need to add an extra switch for this).

To wire the passenger side window switch, I'm thinking you would need the same relay module and switch as the one touch down for the passenger window.

Uni, creative solution but I'm pretty sure the convertible top switch or circuit will not serve as a One Touch down. There is no "Latching" function associated with the feature.
Try by "One Touching" the convertible top switch. I think the windows stop as soon as you let go of the switch.
I'd go out and try it myself but it's SNOWING out right now!

As you can see from another thread here, there is a relatively common problem with the S2K wherein the auto-down function on the driver's window stops working (that is, it work just like the passenger window). The fix for this involves replacing the motor/regulator (been there). Therefore, one would assume that you would need to replace the motor regulator in the passenger door with one intended for the driver's door. If the geometry of the mechanism is such that the left and right motor/regulators are not physically interchangeable, then you may have to order the driver's door motor/regulator for a right hand drive S2K. Not sure whether there is any difference in the swiches, themselves. There may be.

When you use the power top button it actuates the "one touch" for the drivers side. BUT while holding the top button it lowers the passenger. This is part of the problem with the drivers window. It stops because its supposed to go down by itself. The passenger side you are technically holding. Does this make sense? I almost confused myself

Seems like it might be more work than what it's worth.

I have been waiting to post this, but I'd really love to have the auto-up feature on my drivers window. Does this feature exist in other countries?

This is something worth checking with our non-US/Canada members. As far as I know, in most other countries, the driver's window is auto up and down. So maybe it is just a switch/relay. Maybe a RHD car's driver switch will work on a LHD passenger door?

I have a dog that managed to get his neck caught in the window (of another car) even without auto up. I'm not sure auto up is such a great feature.

I suppose it's ok if you don't have a kid, ditzy girlfriend, or incredibly stupid dog.

I think that the reason that there is no auto-up is that it is a safety issue, as you imply, jschmidt. The opportunity for some sort of accident is just too great, and then of course the manufacturer gets sued because he knew or should have known that it was a hazzard. However, I don't see why there isn't an auto-down on the passanger side.
