I would'nt compromise on color choice - One can be found in the color you prefer, just be patient!! You will probably regret settling on color choice #2 -Get what you truly want and don't look back...

I finally bought the s2k yesterday! After much time and effort into buying a s2k I found the perfect one about 2 weeks ago about a 3 hour drive away in Florence, South Carolina. I've been dying to go see this car and I finally got a day off and went down there to go check it out. A MY03 GPW/tan with 34,194 miles and in near perfect condition. The price they were asking was $26,100 and I talked him down to $21,000. I know I could of got a better deal but I've been waiting for a GPW so long it didn't even matter. At first he said I needed a cosigner but I put down $7000 and he said alright. But then he comes back saying my APR was going to be 24.9% because I basically have no credit and on top of that the bank wanted $2500!? I didn't say a thing and walked out and as I get ready to leave he comes running up saying he got another bank that will do 13.9% and no other payments so I walked in and signed the papers. But then I didnt have my own insurance because I was under my dad's policy. The insurance company was closed on saturday so I have to wait till tommorow to go pick it up in the morning.. I will have pics up soon after I go pick it up! But thanks for all the input especially to the last post because I realized how much I would've regreted getting the berlina after looking at that GPW. But I'm not bashing on the berlina it's also a beautiful color on the s2k but the GPW is perfect for the setup I want. I'll be posting up more often now since I finally got one! Much great things planned for this roadster

#3 - but definitely go and test drive the car. Make sure it has a clean carfax, etc.

That's crazy!
Actually, I would have considered it a personal insult. No way would I have bought the car from them after a greedy pitch like that. Effin' bottom feeders.

14% is crazy high.

Save up and pay that bad-boy off as soon as possible.

Congrats and enjoy!

Congrats on the purchase, but the APR is killing you!
