Default Online source for Toyo RA1's?

Need to order up a set for the Laguna Seca event, but my usual sources (Tire Rack and Discount Tire) don't seem to carry the brand. Anyone know of a discount source online?

Many thanks and sorry if this is in the wrong forum, not sure where else it would go...

Has anyone used these on the street? How noisy are they? Are they ok in the wet? Much stickier than the OEM S02's?

3) Capable of 10+ track events, enjoy them on the track rather than waste treadwear on the street
4) You'll rarely get it hot enough when driving it on the street

so, to answer your questions:

1) I have seen them used on the street, it is a DOT legal tire
2) noise level's mild, comparable to the A032R's but not as loud
3) it'll be a stickier than the s02s
I drive mine on the street and have been doing it for the past 8k miles, still not all the way thru the wear bars. My more-aggressive-than-stock alignment contributes to the wear, but then most of my driving is going to-from the track, being on the track or driving on the twisty mountain roads. My commute is 1.5 miles each way, so the tires don't even get warm enough to wear

You must be very diligent when driving in the wet. It gets slippery so you have to be careful and driver slower than normal. I have driven in torrential blinding downpours by necessity and had no trouble as long as I didn't too fast, and be very careful of standing water. The cues are there, you just have to pay close attention to what you're doing.

A032R is much better in the rain because of the deep and wide tread grooves. But they wear out MUCH faster.

It doesn't get hot enough on the street.

Noise level is less than A032R because it is a smoother thread.

Stickier than A032R and much stickier than stock. Kumho victoracers are other very sticky tires, but again fast treadwear.

As with almost all performance tires, THE COLD is the worst problem. It's easier to want to go faster when cold than when wet.

I get from a local america's tire. not a bad price either, about $160 each. Personally I'm putting on A032Rs, in case it rains. Remember we get winter rain up north here

UL-

There's an ad in the back of SportsCar (the SCCA mag) for:

American International Motorsports
28005 Arnold Drive #A-2
Sonoma, CA 95476

Phone: 707-938-9193

where they advertise the RA-1. No pricing or sizes listed though.

Of course they're not online but its better than nothing.
