Only US and Canada gets the 2.2 engine?

Default Only US and Canada gets the 2.2 engine?

rest of the world are still getting 2.0 liter.........kind of weird..........

North America is the only region that complained that the 2.0l lacked in torque so Honda accomodated the region. I suspect Honda believes, as do I, that the 2.0 is a better engine and that's why they haven't changed it anywhere else.

No the reasons are more complex than which engine is 'better'. The fact is neither engine is 'better' than the other. One of the many reasons that the rest of the world gets the 2.0L engine is that there are still many places that base taxes upon the displacement of the engine. By increasing displacement to 2.2L you may place it into a different tax bracket. FYI one province in Japan.....
