OOps with subs in the trunk and lots of waterrrrrrr
I must admit I made a mistake whe installing the subs in my trunk. I took out the liner and fiberglassed the tool area. There is a vent that is on the drivers side and faces downward. I took it out and fiberglassed over it. The end result was amazing. Subs sounded good and had room for two tens.
Now the oops
I noticed my lights were aimed high and the car was like a lead sled. Hot weather I guessed for a few days till a 500.00 class D amp popped three times and fried. Literally almost burnt the car to the ground as it was in a rack over the gas tank. I pulled it out in time, it was smoking and very very hot...
Anyways, I pull the subs out a few days ago and there is six - eight inches of water and wet wood where my great fiberglass and wood deck formerly resided.
Sorry no pictures, I wanted to remove them and have no proof of my ignorance, but figured others had done this sub enclosure I and wanted to warn everyone to be sure to check to be sure that all was well in the sub box.
