You take a bottle of hydrogen peroxide, 1/4 box of baking soda, and a few tablespoons of Dawn. Mix and immediately apply to a dry dog or subject area.

Ah...I see. You were talking about dogs and skunks. I got confused because I thought this was about bird poop on one's S2000 (and apparently a side order of cat pee) so I couldn't figure out what dry dogs had to do with bird poop.
Makes perfect sense now.

Ah... I see. You did not see the OP'S inclusion of cat urine and the accompanying smell. The skunked drunk dog solution was to be used for the real problem: filthy feline deposits!
Personal history of open-top cars:
2002-2004: 1966 Impala convertible (approximately 5 acres of exposed interior space with the top down)
2006-2010: 1999 Trans Am with T-Tops
2010-Present: 2006 S2000
Incidents of bird shit on the interior: 0
I am actually quite proud of this statistic and I will continue to be, for as long as my luck holds out.

I guess maybe the title of the thread shouldn't be "Open Top + Bird Poop Thread" then.
Holy topic police Batman.
Can we stay on topic, and not get side tracked on how skunked dog odor formulas may or may not be on topic for bird poop and cat pee threads?
So back to bird poop. That pic of the poop on the dash. From the spray pattern that goes from front of car towards back, I initially thought the bird somehow landed that spot from some impressive in flight dive bomb manouver. But then I realized that was more likely just gravity at work, and bird simply pooped while pearched atop the windshield like it was a tree branch.

He couldn't really hit it more than once.
I didn't smell it but it might have required Cosmo's concoction... and a dry dog. And possibly a skunk. I didn't check if the turkey vulture was wet though. That could change everything. Unlikely that any cats peed on it though.
Hmmmm bird poop. Yeah, **it happens.
I must say I hate you for making this thread. A year of ownership and no bird poop ever. I read this today, and less than 10 minutes outside my car talking to Soup and I get bird shit on my driver's seat.
One item to keep in mind: Do not park under one of the very tall "tower" lights in some parking lots. I was in a rush parking at the airport and nosed in (not with the S) and left it for a week. I was blown away how much bird poop was on the car. It was undrivable. I had to clean the windscreen with multiple applications of wiper fluid (smeared like crazy) just to see. The poop had been baked on and it took some elbow grease to clean the car the next day.
Never, ever again.
Never, ever again.
