IMO no frills would ALLOW you to lock your keys in. Thats an EXTRA feature.

Power top, power locks, power windows, power mirrors, cruise control, A/C, and ABS are all frills.

But you can still lock the keys in the trunk. Not that I have,...

...but if the top wasn't down I would have.

If you pull out on the handle (interior or exterior) while you lock the door, you can very well lock your keys inside the car.

...or just sit in the passenger seat and do it that way.
