Uses the same Rover engine as the Elise, but at 500Kg is 200Kg lighter.

And yes, it's road registerable in Australia.

Well, at least it doesn't have one of those pesky, easily scratched plastic rear windows!

It's even got bias breaking. If you are turning and breaking the inside wheels break more than the outside.

AusS2000 (is this WayneI in disguise?) what the hell is that thing?

It looks a little like a Lotus 340R but I don't think that's what it is.

Sprung. Everyone else had cool stook related names so, well, I couldn't help myself.

It's an Ariel Atom. Apparently Ariel is an old name but I'm not sure what they've been doing for the last 80 years.

It looks like one heck of a lot of fun though.

Well, an Ariel eh! I only remember Ariel as a bike manufacturer - the Vic Police used to ride 600cc Ariel square 4s in the fifties.

I must admit I like it - before I bought the Stook I test drove an Elise and was very impressed but couldn't justify it when I found out the Elise sells for the same price in the UK as a WRX.

As you know, in Oz the Elise is more expensive than a stook and almost double the price of the Rex.

Very cool, but I'm moving this over to Waiting Room. Please keep OT discussions over there okay?

Post further replies in that forum if you don't mind.
