Are other drivers less courteous and more aggressive today?
Puerto Rico -- now that was an experience. We were there for two weeks in '95 and drove all over the eastern half of the island. My wife managed to get our rented Mitsubishi briefly airborne on the highway and we *still* were getting passed left and right.
For the record, we loved Puerto Rico - beautiful scenery and wonderful people. Their warmth and friendliness outweighed their agressiveness behind the wheel.

That was a helluva rant. Thanks, that was very good. Made my day.
You're most welcome gracious sir. So what's your theory of convenience over Quality? And how can we market it?

Don't even get me started on the issue of making lane changes. In Seattle, the use of turn signals is optional. Headchecks? I see so few that it stands out when somebody does.
Add this one to the list as well: falling asleep in the left lane I think you all have seen too much of this...

Come to Jackson, MI. No one's in a hurry - that's why I tailgate!
Sorry, Rob, that was another thread you started. What office are you running for?
I think it all started with Elvis shaking his hips. Maybe it was Rock & Roll music. Maybe TV. But, this disrespect thing when driving is certainly worse. But wait, what about the good ole day's when two stranger's on horseback would meet coming from opposite ends in a tight spot and the winner was guy who could draw his gun the fastest. Those were the good old days, cause it keep the roads from getting too crowded. Kidding aside, big cities and routes in/out are a mess. But, I'll let the other guy give up his car, cause I'm not giving up mine.

Its dead.. and even worse, if I don't drive aggresivly, I'm pushed around on the road so much it becomes a hazard.
