I have just e-mail'ed King Motorsports, I sure hope they warrenty them!

But anyway, I am not sure how many read my previous "My car is making a terrible noise thread"...

Well my car has developed a nasty exhaust leak and after poking around the lower Second Y (as in 4-"2"-1) has sprung a good size hole at the weld, and the weld is cracked about a 1/3 of the way around the pipes.

I have photo's on my friends digital camera, and he will mail them to me in the AM. I will post them for you all to see.

here is a pic of the header the day they were installed in my car.

If you follow the pipes back from the cat follow the lower pipe past the first Y, then past the support bracket, and at the next Y there is about a 1/4" hole in the weld, and cracks in the rest of the weld

I will post pics of the actual failure for you all to see.

Thus far, Scott from King has been super responsive, supportive and helpful, so I can only assume that he will warrentee them for me.

But I can't be sure till he gets back to me.

Really sucks tho! I haven't had my car for over a week

whao! bad news! Sorry to hear this! At least you found the noise. And there is a solution. I am sure this is a warranty covered flaw. Its still raining so no big loss of driving right? Wont be clear until the 1st weekend in March.

ffdrift, thanks for the post!

Makes me feel much better. I replaced gaskets at both ends before finding the hole... I kept telling myself, "their can't be a hole! these are mugen products!"

Well I look forward to Scott or whomever's e-mail telling me how to proceed.

Thanks again.

Well you will get a new header for sure and you will also get the new heat shield design! I had my heat shield brakets up top crack off. They did a redesign on it and made it hold up better.

Well as always, King Motorsports has been super helpful and responsive. My replacement headers should be here tomorrow. I can not recommend any vendor higher. Scott has consistently gone the extra mile for me.

Thanks a Million!

So here are the pictures for you pic junkies
