I used to have an old '86 Cadillac Sedan DeVille with a wickedly deep horn. Probably doesn't help cause I don't think they can be converted. But I'm sure anything can be done with the right amount of $$$.

I got a FIAMM Freeway Blaster high pitch 109dB horn kit from Harbor Frieght. Good stuff and < $10. Air horns are slow to kick in so giving a toot to someone changing into your lane isn't as fast as I'd like. The compressor on mine blew, or rather didn't

If you want a serious horn get a Cadillac horn. Holy sheet! As close to a frieght train as you can get.

Well, I had one of those "moments" when you wish your horn could really say something. Crusing down I-80 at 72 mph - start to pass a truck and there in front of me is a dog. Some idiot dog owner was pulled over to the side of the road and left her german shepard wander back and forth across both lanes of traffic as he was doing his business. My horn worked fine - but it would have been neat if it could really say something like
Anyway thanks to those big 11 inch discs - No slide - missed the dog and controlled car through out - Makes you appreciate how fast you can slow this car down

Actually, the dog probably would have just stopped in its tracks and looked at you. Much like a human would.

Well your sort of right about that - he (the ) was watching the truck I was passing - truck horns are LOUD! - but as I was stomping on the brakes and down shifting, I "focused" the dogs attention on the real danger in the lane he was standing in - ME!!!!!!!! by hitting the horn. My real wish though was to explain to his owner in some substansive method what a total she was!

I plan on upgrading to Hella Supertones. For those who have it, how did the install go? I have a 00 S2K. Do you just remove the old horn and plug in the new horns? I believe 00's only have 1 horn? If so where do you guys install the second Hella horn? Is there any wiring and fuses that I need to install ? Any help would be appreciated.

There was an excellent post about this install a couple of years ago. I would try a search. Quick answer is yes you need a relay and fuse, but the instructions with photos are great. I did this install on my MY00 when I first bought it, and it was easy to do and well worth the effort. IMHO
