Default The 'Over-Badge' Courtesy Test Ride

Sometimes I wonder, if we temporarily over-badged our cars with Ferrari or Porsche or ??? logos, would we get a lot of, "Wow, is that a new model? Must be something!" Then take them for a twisties ride, and they'll say, "I wish I could have one, but probably can't afford it." That's when we reveal the hidden H's. How many times would their 'respect' be gained/maintained, how many times dimished/lost?

I was just suggesting that the spray painted transformer-civic driver would be able to drive the ferrari-vette without being ashamed.

"Over badging" is pretty popular where I live. We have a ferrari geo metro here. I believe the people who drive these vehicles know that you know whats up and they get a kick out of the people who get angry. In my mind there is nothing wrong with rebadging a vehicle. After all, we have kit cars that are fakes and purists get upset over these kit cars. So where do we draw the line? We let people draw their own lines and we end up with ferrari vettes. Personally.. I love it. We get these pictures to enjoy. If someone wants to rebadge their S2000, I say let 'em do it!... I kinda feel like putting a porsche crest on my car now

Don't really care. That't not why I bought my S. If you want to impress others with the brands you buy then feel free to do what you want.
