paging mark Digrappa........and tim from mg racing......
what's up with your turbo kit man... any info yet , did you tear down the motor to check the internals for wear yet
tim, same question..what's up with the roots style blower any info yet

yep..... neeeeed info... neeeeeed dyno.... How much longer do we have to wait for either kit to show up.... Kind of tired of calling it the FI fund at the bank... Would rather give it a name....
I am curious why you are looking for other kits when there are two kits available now(Comptech and Speedcraft) which are arguably proven already..
I am certain that forced induction isn't going to get much less expensive than the Comptech kit..

Well, i have exactly until this october until enough is saved to do the speedcraft kit. I already have gauges etc. I'm not necessarily looking for the cheapest price either. I would much rather have a kit that has the best components available.... ala speedcraft. If mark's kit however turns out having less problems... as far as running 8 psi on pump gas then his kit might be the ol winner... but alas no one has heard or as far as i know even seen this mysterious kit....
Im also eagerly awaiting how the piston project is going cjb80... if it goes well then perhaps i won't even worry about any other kit... I do wonder however about the fiber reinforced cylinder liners and if there is any problem with running different pistons and rings.... quite a bit of materials engineering goes into picking certain materials and how they mate.... also i wonder about the ability of the new pistons you are putting in to run to 9000.
Overall though competition is good... and not necessarily just on price...

I am going to venture to say that 8psi on pump gas is not possible no matter what kit or what method of forced induction you use. The only way that would be possible is with a head gasket (horrid idea, not worth 2 days of labor to install, renders it not a bolt on kit) or an ignition timing control unit.
Speedcraft apparently completed the 8psi on pump gas via ignition control option but found that they lost about 20 hp and decided to go with the head gasket. Well that doesn't make much sense to me because simply installing the head gasket lowers compression enough to lose 20 hp. Dwight @ Speedcraft indicated to me that he expected to lose only 5hp with the head gasket, so perhaps ignition timing control is a viable option again??
Mark Digrappa indicated at one point that his kit was going to come with a gasket, however as far as I know no one has seen his kit, and he hasn't published any pictures or numbers. It may not even exist for all we know, and being the skeptic that I am, that is what I am leaning towards...
I have been thinking about Forced Induction on the F20C for a while now, even before I had the Speedcraft Turbo, and I believe that Supercharging has alot of potential. I also believe that the Speedcraft kit has alot of room for improvments... additionally, I believe that the Comptech kit has potential for alot of improvment also if someone spent the money on it..

my cars forsale if i sell it, then i sell. if I don't , then I don't... in the mean time I'm just looking at my options as far as if I want to go ahead and do my turbo kit
as of right now I'm undecided
my father and I have the abilty and the means as far as equiptment and knowledge
it's just a matter of if I'm ready to get into it with a car that leagally can't be run at any nhra track in the country without a roll bar or roll cage when the time comes....13.99 and quicker a convertible is supposed to have a legal roll bar in it.
as far as the fuel system on your car, how much boost could you run without the vafc
