Looks great! I've been wanting to do this for some time...just got to get off my lazy butt. Are you planning on doing the tails too?

 

You know. I'd really be interested to see how AP2 lights and tails look painted. I think I have a back shot of my S somewhere...

 

Depends on color.

Some look good - NFR... not so much..

 

I don't think the taillights would look good painted. At least not on a red car. maybe another color.

LOL easy for you to say. Yours comes matched from the factory already since yours is black.

 

True, but I wouldn't have done it on my GPW either. IMO it doesn't look menacing enough body colored. It has always bothered me with the Vette. Even Ferrari dabbled it if for a couple of years then went back to black housings.

 

Come to think of it - I think I only like the painted headlights/tailights on metallics. On Sebring it looks amazing. If I were going to repaint I'd do something different - like a dark gray or a high gloss black.
