Exactly. WTF is the point of painting the damn things at all?
But if there is a point to painting them, it can only be that you like how it it looks. In which case ... HOW THE HELL DOES IT HELP TO ASK OTHER PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET WHAT COLOR YOU SHOULD PAINT THEM? Are other people supposed to know what color looks good to you?
Some people are such sheep. I'm surprised we don't get more posts here asking "should I get bacon on my cheeseburger? pls hlp!!!!"

Just playin, you are absolutely correct about "for looks only", therefore, it would be a complete waste of time to paint them an oem looking color. I will admit that painting my calipers qualifies for border-line ricer, along with my smoked side markers, black ap1 wheels, and any other cosmetic mod but I guess I just like my car to look unique without wasting a bunch of money. I also could not agree with you more about people asking others what "looks good" for their cars. At first, these threads pissed me off as well, but I realized that some people are not as opinionated as I am. There will always be leaders and followers.

IMO either the color matters or it doesn't. Either you have a preference or flip a coin. Don't be one of the sheep.
I think black is key with red being a distant 2nd.
The trick here is to get the caliper casting as smooth as possible and then a few coats of high heat sandable filling primer and then the paint which needs wet sanding and polishing

Thanks for the help to those who posted suggestions and pics. I like the look of the black and will do that. For the tools who asked why do I care what others think and refer to me as a sheep. Go f@#k yourself. This is an open forum for members to speak with other members. If you don't like to post answers, don't. I wanted to see the look more than anything as I don't know how specific colors look on the cars. Thanks to those who actually took time to help.
^THanks. I just don't get how some people think that they should spout whatever piece of mental diarhea that comes into their head. I think that it is supposed to make them feel good about their crappy lives.
