Default Painting Calipers

IS it absoluely necessary to put the czr up on fouir axle stands to paint the break calipers properly? IS it possible to do one at a time? Any disadvantage to doing so? I must admit to being very nervous about getting the car up on "all fours." I fear it falling off. If it is necesary or preferable to go that route, how does one proceed (other than very carefully). Is there a recommended sequence? (I hope to be able to do just one at a time. Thanks for anwsers to what must seem like a dorky question.

I painted mine one at a time, no problem. I can't see a benefit to getting all 4 off the ground.

I am inclined to do the calipers in red on my MY05 Silverstone. Opinions on this combination? Is it classy? Garish? What do you think?

I think the car is MORE stable on 4 stands than one at a time. It will take you HOURS to do one at a time. I did them all at once. I could move from one brake to the next and apply 4-5 coats on each. By the time I made it all the way around the car it was time for the next coat. If you do one at a time, I might worry about the paint in the can drying up on you by the last one.

I like red on silverstone:
