Default painting grill spacers?

I've seen a few s2ks with the grill lines in the bumper radiator area painted to match, what did you guys use touch up paint or something, or actually take the whole thing out and painted it at a shop? Just curious.

Nice, Jason - It was painted or some adhesive stuff on the horizontals? I can't make it out on my PC - is it same color as the body ?

I always thought the intake area was aesthetically weak.

It's chrome door strip molding (can be found at any auto parts store), you want the flat kind with the 3m tape on the bottom.

It looks great, and was only $3. Everyone that asks, thinks it's a new grille.

if you don't go on agressive drives (which take place on backroads i.e. debris everywhere) then sure... IMO, its just more paint to chip...why bother (you should see my front bumper/windshield)

Mine isn't painted. It's chrome. I wouldn't paint that area, too much abuse hits the front end.

Got mine done, and looks great! If your a silver s2k owner its a must do! Makes it stand out against other s2ks.

The grill is def boring looks like it is missing something. I was thinking of a grill like coastal metals or grill tech but there are 2 disadvantages.

First your def gonna to make your engine hotter even if its a lil then thats still a possible loss of HP due to your ECU detecting more heat.

2nd there is a possibility of lost air flow from getting into your intake which equals lost hp!!

Both those are a possibility and I need every HP I can use and I dont want to risk it.

Silverstone S2k looks def better now
