Default Painting and Value

I'm looking to sell my S2k, which has been partially repainted due to damage by a dealer. I'm not one to withhold such information from a potential buyer, so I'm wondering how much the fact that it's been painted will affect what I can expect to get for it?

It's a 2000 silver/red pushing 16k miles. No mods. What do you guys think

thanks.

It depends upon the nature of the damage. If you assume the damage is small and the repair is good it should cost you in the neighborhood of $500-$1000 in the sales price. Depends upon your local market.

It shouldn't make a difference as long as it was a fender bender and not major damage.

I purchased a used S2000 with the passenger side re-painted. I didn't know it was re-painted 'til the seller told me.

As a buyer, it didn't make a difference.

There was no accident involved, just dents and scratches from the dealer mechanic. I think the $500-$1000 is a reasonable expectation.

How would you go about bringing this up to a potetial buyer? Right away? or let them see the car first?

I'd say it depended on what it looks like. Is it visible? Then -$1000+. If not, then a couple hundred.
