Default parking brake life?

my friend drove my car for about 10 mins, he just brought it from his house to my house, never took it above 25mph or so, but the parking brake was on maybe 1/2 way, i have never done e-brake turns or anything other than use it as a parking brake, just wondering if he could have damaged anything, i told him a new one is $$$ so he might be fu$ked!

parking brake is the cost of new sets of rear brake pads , unless you wanna change the wire as well.

The car does not have a separate parking brake. It uses the regular rear brakes as the parking brakes. Most likely all you did was wear down the rear brake pads.

Probably no permanent damage. Charge him $100 anyway for being careless.

Doesn't the car have an obnoxious beeping when the parking brake is applied while driving? Mine does.

As long as there was no fire from overheating or rotor warpage, no damage was done.

Check rear rotors for dull finish. Depending on how hard the parking brake was set, you could get anything from glazed rotors and/or pads (reduced braking power) to rubber seals catch fire. My brother did the latter when his miata parking brakes were seized. The rubber dust boot for the piston was BBQ'ed.

No. There is a brake warning light which would be on.
