Parted with TRUE LOVE.
I had a sliver 05 S2000 for 3 years and it was absolutely incredible, even when I got stuck in the snow. I loved the car...
CLASSIC sebring silver, black/red interior. It looked great at every angle, even when dirty, and was super reliable.
But, the problem is that the lease was up and the balance was too much to justify.
So, it came time to turn the car in... Hmmm... New STI perhaps? It's pretty well-engineered.
But, when it came down to it, the engineering nod goes to the S2000. Built from scratch... pure sports car... exclusive everything...
The passion I have for this car cannot be denied.
Introducing...
It was conceived to be what it is, not a utility $20k family car converted for Rallye (no disrespect STi's)
But seriously, saying goodbye to the 2005 Sebring was heartbreaking, even if I drove home with RIO.

I like the black & red seats on the Silver. Good choice in getting another S though! Next time the lease is up there might not be an S though.

Nice move. I had a similar situation -- an 05 Silverstone coming off lease. I absolutely loved that car, but decided to roll part of the $20K buyout fund into a down payment on a new 08 S2K. I do think the 05 had sharper steering and the cable throttle was more direct, but I can't complain to much about the 08!
BTW, I am a long time Subaru fan and also gave the STi consideration (had an 03 WRX, last year of the bugeye). The STi is definitely a cool car, and is a beast. But I was turned off by the poor gas mileage and the fact that it's just a "car". In the end, all it did was make me appreciate the S2K even more. I think if I had to have one car that did everything, the STi would be a decent option (esp. with winter tires for ski season).
