Passenger side door lock not working?

Default Passenger side door lock not working?

My power lock isnt working on the passenger side. Most of the time when I try to lock or unlock it it wont work but then sometimes it does its like it tries to do it but its stuck on something has anyone else had this problem?

double click the unlock button on your key fob

I believe it's clicking the unlock button twice within three seconds to unlock both doors. Try it. If it isn't working, then something's obviously wrong.

I know how to unlock both locks... I said up there that it tries to unlock it but it sounds like its stuck or something.

I'll be the first with a useful answer.

I've had the driver's door lock and actuator replaced already. I now have problems with both doors if I don't (un)lock them on a regular basis. I discovered the passenger's door problem recently - could not lock the door for love or money using the key, fob or inside lock handle. I finally got it by using both the key and fob at the same time.

Both actuators should probably be removed, cleaned and carefully lubed (I assume with graphite, not oil). It looks like a pain in the arse to do the job but I may have to bite the bullet and do it.

BTW, Hardtopguy gave me a price of something like $25 for a new actuator if you decide to replace it instead. The lock assembly is much more expensive...

How did the actuator clean-job work out? I'm having very similar issues; locks work sometimes other times not.
